Saturday 10th June - walk ***** Levington and Felixstowe prom - sunny and hot:).

With our son Dan and his partner spending the day house viewing we get to look after the Granddaughter, the lovely Maeva and what turned out to be the hottest day here in Suffolk but the breeze continued to blow from the NE cooling it down nicely, Mag had already had a two mile walk along the prom at 5.30 this morning! With our breakfast packed when Maeva arrived around ten we headed over to Levington Marina to have it by the banks of the River Orwell alive with boat action, we had hoped to see the Classic boats leave the marina but were too late, never mind as there were a few old ones out in the river along with loads of others so plenty to see. Maeva loved having her breakfast in the van and got covered in baby porridge with fresh blueberries, Mag managed to keep most of it off her white outfit! We then put Maeva in the buggy, she soon dozed off and walked around the marina to the footpath through the trees leading to Loompit Lake, where loads of geese were gathered, swans too but only one cygnet. The bumpy path seemed to send Maeva into a deep sleep as we returned to the van as two old barges headed towards Felixstowe from Ipswich. Maeva had woken up and was not happy so we packed the van and returned home where we all had lunch, she dozed off on Mags lap which gave me an hour to do my exercises in the hot and sunny back garden:) Then we had a walk down to Felixstowe prom where loads of people were enjoying a lovely day by the sea, the NE breeze had filled in and was enough to foil but after three very hectic days on the water I was pleased to give it a miss, although Al Wizz was out at The Manor. We did a circuit of the pier but it was all much to busy for us so we returned home where Dan and Jay had returned from a tiring day house viewing, they had seen some nice ones too so fingers crossed they can find somewhere nice to bring up Maeva!
Then I had some good news when I noticed one of my pics from today was featured on the BBC National Weather:) The good weather looks set for the week now so we will do our best to avoid the crowds!
